MoCap Solutions was started in 2003 to meet a very specific need, to make tens of thousands of facial motion capture markers for the film The Polar Express. At the time,there were very few vendors for motion capture markers and certainly none that were capable of supplying that many markers in a very short period of time. The solution was to buy 4mm plastic hemispheres from arts and crafts stores (truth be told they were ‘eyeballs’ for toy dolls), lay them on every available flat surface we had, cover them with 3M tape, and hire everyone we could find to punch them by hand…until their hands bled. That went on for months.

That was then…Today, MoCap Solutions is the premier manufacturer and supplier of ALL motion capture accessories. We have literally revolutionized the business of motion capture suits and markers. All of our products are made in the United States and held to the same dimensional tolerances and statistical process controls that automotive and aerospace components are. We no longer deplete the supplies of local craft stores; we have completely re-designed the motion capture marker. We use state of the art 3D CAD software to produce our designs; We build aerospace quality injection molds to produce all of our components. We have developed automated processes to manufacture all of our components to insure dimensional stability and repeatability. Most recently we commissioned the manufacture of a custom fabric to be used in the construction of our state of the art motion capture suits. And that’s just the beginning.

All of our designs are our own and can be customized to fit your specific needs. We are motion capture industry professionals and can appreciate what it takes to make a shoot go perfectly.
